The Yale University Police Department will be hosting a Citizen's Police Academy here at police headquarters beginning Tuesday, March 20. The course will be held weekly on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:30PM.

The goal of the Academy is to provide an increased understanding and awareness of police operations, responsibilities and capabilities and to promote the partnership between the police department and the community.  Sessions will include classroom training and hands-on activities. Classes are limited to 30 attendees and are free of charge. You must be a member of the Yale or New Haven community to attend.
